Sustainable & Sustaining

Water
Oolie knows how important water is for all of us. It’s one of our most precious resources and we believe it is our responsibility to protect and conserve it whenever possible. For this reason, Oolie only uses vegetable and AZO-free dyes and partners with manufacturers and mills that are committed to reducing the impact of the textile industry on our waterways.

Earth
Conventional cotton production is hard on the earth. The crops are heavily sprayed with pesticides and other chemicals, degrading the soil and making future crops more reliant on fertilizers. Expanding cultivation leads to deforestation and destruction of habitats all over the world. For this reason, oolie only uses organically farmed cotton in our products. We work with small organic farmers who act as stewards of the land, engaging in cultivation practices that promote healthy soil, reduce run off, and allow fields time to lie fallow between crops. We all need a rest, even the soil!

Air
Oolie seeks to reduce our carbon footprint in several ways. First, we partner with vertically integrated vendors, meaning our products don’t have to travel too far between phases of production. We also use packing materials that can be shipped more efficiently, which means fewer trucks on the road to deliver your Oolies!
