Oolie is committed to ethical sourcing of materials and manufacturing for all of our products.
For us, “ethical” means:
- materials are produced as humanely and sustainably as possible, with any potential negative ecological impacts minimized or eliminated
- workers are treated fairly, are not exploited, and are compensated for their labor with living wages
We are committed to partnering only with vendors and manufacturers who uphold these standards and who can document and demonstrate that they meet or exceed these standards — such as by earning a third-party certification.
Some third-party certifications that we look for include:
We value the trust you place in us. You deserve to know what materials our products are made of — before inviting them into your home.
The sections below document our primary partner manufacturers and materials vendors, as well as which third-party certifications apply to each.

The Shoosh is made with wool felt sourced from Sutherland Felt Company (Madison Heights, Michigan, USA). The raw wool is from sheep in Uruguay, where the wool producers follow these animal welfare guidelines for ethical production. This raw wool fiber is later turned in to pressed wool (felt) in an OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 plant. (This information was self-reported by the supplier; we believe it to be true, but hope to be able to share third-party verification of these practices here at some point.)
